Despite heavy winds, grey skies, and chilly weather, many young couples still make their way to the banks of the river to have pre-wedding photographs taken at such a "romantic" location. Traditionally (?!) the wedding photographers will touch up such images to create an atmosphere of a beach paradise, where the bride and groom are strolling along white sand beaches under blue cloudless skies. A far cry from the reality of the situation.
