Tribes from across the region gather for the Hornbill Festival in Nagaland, India. The festival takes place over 7 days during the first week of December, and is a showcase of the various histories and cultures of the region. By some estimates, as much as 90% of the tribes are Christian (Baptist mostly). Here, tribesmen and women bow their heads in silent prayer during the opening cermonies of the festival.
